Join Us in Building a Resilient West Marin Food System
Whether you want to glean fresh produce from local orchards, support school garden projects, or lend your skills to community meal events, your time helps build a stronger, more equitable food system across West Marin.
Volunteer Pathways
Help harvest surplus produce from local farms, orchards, and residential gardens before it goes to waste. Harvested food is distributed directly to local food pantries, community meal programs, and families.
Activities: Harvesting fruit/vegetables, sorting produce, driving/delivering food to distribution sites.
Requirements: Comfortable working outdoors; able to lift up to 25 lbs (optional roles available for non-lifting support).
Do you have fruit trees, extra garden rows, or farm fields with surplus harvest? Invite our volunteer gleaning team to harvest your excess produce for regional food access programs.
What We Provide: Trained volunteer coordination, harvesting equipment, and complete cleanup.
Impact: Keeps fresh food in the community and supports zero-waste goals.
Support hands-on garden projects, nutrition education, and youth engagement at local West Marin schools.
Activities: Garden maintenance, assisting with student activities, seasonal planting days.
Help staff community gathering events, prepare reusables, or manage zero-waste event kits from our Events Library.
