Rooted in West Marin
The West Marin Food Systems Group is an Innovative Health Solutions project established in 2020.
In West Marin, food connects us all to our coast, our valleys, our farms, and each other. Yet across our region, dedicated schools, agricultural producers, food pantries, and community groups often had to navigate systemic challenges alone.
West Marin Food Systems Group was formed to bridge these gaps. Born out of a shared commitment to regional health and community resilience, we bring together cross-sector partners to ensure that our local food system serves everyone. By working together across classrooms, fields, community kitchens, and local agencies, we turn isolated efforts into collective, lasting impact.
Mission
Work collaboratively with schools, climate action groups, agriculture, non-profit, government, health care, and safety net providers to increase access to healthy food for low-income residents and older adults.
